Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, How Does Your Garden Grow?

Last year when I posted about my garden, I never put pictures of the results. This year, I'm just posting results. Being my second year in gardening, I chose to plant some different things and not plant others. For instance, as much fun as it is to see your squash and zucchini plants keep producing, after a couple weeks of picking them, you either have gained too many pounds eating zucchini bread, or you feel like you're made of squash. Anyway, we didn't plant those this year. I'm very pleased with how the garden turned out this year. I'm still a novice and have a long way to go be as successful as my pro-gardener dad. I'm so thankful for my dad and mom who taught me hard work, how to weed, and the importance of food storage and home canning (and all of its deliciousness). Matt took these pictures for me yesterday.

Corn on the cob -- my favorite!

Peppers (I have several varieties planted)

Tomatoes: my other favorite

Sweet peas

Green beans: I realized t his year just how much I love fresh green beans -- yumm-o!
