Not gonna lie. Keeping my cool is H-A-R-D. When I choose not to get angry, I find I start to cry, and I don't mean a few tears, I mean that I have the urge to ugly cry. After many years of training myself not to cry, I think my emotions have come out in anger. The dilemma is now making sure my son doesn't see those tears as a form of manipulation. I don't want him to think I'm trying to use my issues to change his behavior--although I've been mastering
that art for 11 years.
This morning while doing chores, I've had to repeat my affirmations a couple of times. Five minutes ago I had to look in the mirror and repeat them out loud.
I am in control.
I am in control.
Managing my anger and emotions will help me rebuild and strengthen my relationships with my family.
Deep breath in...back to the grind.
