Pet Peeve
My sister-in-law would reprimand me on this one, but one of my biggest pet peeves is finding stray shopping carts in a parking lot. My sister-in-law has told me that it's very difficult to return a cart when you have three little kids to manage, and leaving children in the car alone is no longer an option in this day and age. Okay, I get that. But what about all of those carts that are within a few feet of the cart return. The worst is when the cart is pushed against the back of the cart return, but not in it; yet, the shopping cart is blocking a parking spot. Arrgh! Today at K-Mart I returned my cart plus two others blocking decent parking spots. Are there really that many moms leaving carts or severely injured people? No, I don't think so. We can all use a little exercise. Walk the two feet, and return your cart -- that's what the returns are for!

I completely agree! I usually just take both my kids with me, one's in the cart, one's walking beside me and we return it and then get in the car. I mean if you're kids are THAT hard to manage then how and why did you even bring them shopping in the first place?!
ReplyDeleteI agree big time! Big pet peeve of mine, too.
ReplyDeleteI am guilty of this. The other day I was going to just leave my cart wherever and this man came up and said, "Oh, let me help you out by putting your cart away so you don't have to leave your son alone." I felt so bad because I was just going to leave it, anyway, he was a very nice man and I am going to try my darndest to return my cart from now on.
