Okay, so we've finally got our adoption profile up on the LDS Family website. The official website is http://www.itsaboutlove.org/. This is a good way for birth parents to get to search through a list and get to know potential adoptive parents a little bit better. Our profile name is MatthewAndLeMira. You can visit it to learn more about us. Anyway, we'd love for you to spread the word to any family members and friends who might be able to help us find our birth mother.
We know that giving up a baby could possibly be the hardest decision that any mother/father (and even grandparents) will ever have to make. We don't take lightly the fact that our baby will be coming to us by a different method than we expected. We want the birth parents to know that they are a significant part of our lives, and we want them to know that we love them. We will be as open as the birth parents want. If that means that they will call or visit, we'd love to welcome them into our home. This may sound scary to some of you, but after grieving the loss of a baby, I know that it takes time to accept the circumstances. I believe that knowing the baby is in a safe and loving environment can help one to accept the loss. Understanding where my baby is helped me to accept my loss .
