A new buddy

It seems that going to the zoo has become an annual event in our home. Today was the day. We went to the zoo in the morning when it was cool so the animals were still alert and moving around. The first thing Jackson said when he would see a new animal was, "He want get out." I guess he's seen Madagascar too many times. Today we rushed to see the penguins first when we visited the zoo. They've become his favorite animal due to the Madagascar penguins. Yes, those demonic penguins make Jackson laugh.

We let Jackson pick out a toy penguin at the gift shop, and "Penguin" has been doing everything with him. Jackson loves to make him say, "You didn't see anything." Here they are sitting at the zoo getting ready to watch the Birds of Prey show.

Jackson also loved the playground at the zoo. Matt had to literally force Jackson into the egg so we could get a picture, but then Jackson loved it.

Yesterday when we asked him what animals he wanted to see he told us a duck and a pig. We really didn't see any pigs, but for $.25 we bought some duck food (pellets), and he got to feed the ducks and geese. He loved that.
